Spitzenberger + Spies, established more than 40 years, is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of analogue high performance linear amplifiers for industrial measurement and test applications. For many years the company has excelled in the design and manufacture of customer-specific test systems.
EV 600 CuG amplifier with additional transformer. Designed for operation from 45 Hz to 100 kHz (in 2-frequency bands), the unit has an output power of 600 VA and 2-output voltage ranges (350 Vrms & 700 Vrms). The external transformer is fully compensated for, being an integral part of the amplifiers overall negative feedback loop.
This particular unit is widely used witin the lighting industry.
The EV-series of linear amplifiers are the ideal AC power amplifiers for higher frequency power applications up to 200 kHz, and embody more than 40-years experience in the design and manufacture of linear AC power amplifiers.
Particular applications for the EV-series include:
- Wound component testing
- Capacitor testing
- Filter testing
- High frequency power supply for tests within the lighting industry
- Aerospace testing & simulation to MIL STD specifications (e.g. High Frequency ripple tests)
The nominal output power of the EV-series of power amplifiers can be realised with load power factors from 0.7 (inductive) - 1 - 0.7 (capacitive). The extensive use of negative feedback means that the harmonic distortion, phase shift between output & input and output load regulation are all extremely well specified.
