Low Voltage DC Power Supplies - Up To 350 V / 100 kW
......................................................................................................................................................

The Low Voltage DC Power Supplies available comprise models from the following series:

  • NCN - a series of compact, light-weight,pulse-width-modulated power supplies. Output voltages from 30 V up to 55 V and output powers from 1.25 kW to 5 kW. Small size. The output is floating (maximum operating voltage with respect to earth is 500 V)
  • NTN - double-stabilised power supply. Output voltages from 6.5 V up to 350 V. Output powers from 35 W up to 100 kW
  • NYN - thyristor regulated power supply. Output voltages from 12.5 V up to 350 V. Output powers from 7 kW up to 100 kW. The output is floating (maximum operating voltage with respect to earth is 2,000 V)
  • NCA/MCA - autoranging power supply. Output voltages from 55 V up to 2000 V. Output powers from 750 W up to 3 kW. Small size. Up to 3,000 V output voltage, the output is floating (maximum operating voltage with respect to earth is model dependent). For 3000 V models, one pole is connected to earth (polarity specified with order)
These power supplies are capable of providing extremely stable, extremely pure, DC output power in the range up to 350 V and 100 kW.
All units up to 140 W are supplied as ½19" table-top cases, whilst units from 350 W up to 7 kW are supplied as 19" table-top cases. In both cases, standard 19" rack mount adapters are also available. Units larger than 7 kW are supplied configured as a 19" rack unit (height depending upon type) with castors.

A wide range of options are available, depending upon type, including:

  • Higher stability
  • Water cooling
  • Remote control
  • Power regulation
  • Higher resolution display
  • Coarse & fine output controls
  • Internal resistance control (e.g. simulation of battery characteristic)

NOTE:

Ripple figure for MCP series applies for units up to 350 W power. For units with output power of 700 W and greater, ripple is <2x10-4pp +200 mVpp.
Ripple is referred to the nominal supply output voltage.
Stability is quoted for operation under constant conditions.
