The PV-series of High Speed Photovoltaic Simulators reproduces the behaviour of solar panels. By virtue of the capability to freely program the PV-simulator so as to exactly replicate the output characteristics of a solar cell the performance of that cell can be comprehensively analysed and evaluated, even under simulated stable, and changeable, weather conditions.
- Simulation of solar cell characteristics up to 800Vdc (up to 950 Vdc by special request)
- High speed solar generator module capable of realizing transient times of <250µs
- Family of simulators offering continuous power ratings of 1000 Watts up to 100 kW
- Accurate reproduction of 100Hz ripple component on current and voltage due to single-phase inverter
- Freely programmable V/I characteristics permitting simulation of a wide range of solar cells characteristics including shadow
- Fast response to load changes (typ. <100µs) via DSP-based regulation system
- Simulation of a wide range of solar cell characteristics, including shadow
- Ability to simulate dynamic irradiance and temperature
- Evaluation of static and dynamic MPP-tracking efficiency
- Combines with the PAS-series of amplifiers to form complete solar cell test system
